Do you follow fashion, or do you have your own style? This is a good question as if we did follow fashion we would be permanently shopping. Fashion trends change so quickly so you would have to be buying fast fashion. Do you have the ideal figure? Do you follow fashion or do you have your own style? The ideal figure is very much a product of It’s time. Queen Victoria was barely 5 feet tall and was an influencer of her day. She was small and dainty, and women wore flat slippers to be as short as possible. In the 1920s the bust-to-waist ratio of the ideal female figure changed dramatically. Curves went out and a straight up and down boyish figure became fashionable. Women bound their breasts to appear to be flat chested. By the 1950s after privations of the second world war the pendulum had swung the other way, and the well-fed hourglass figure of Marilyn Monroe became ideal. Adverts encouraged skinny women to take weight gain tablets supplements. In the 1960’s & 70s it swung back the other way and the athletic slim figure was ideal, strange. Do you feel you have to dress age appropriate?
Do you feel you have to dress age appropriate? Do you feel you have to dress age appropriate? Well, what is that exactly? My grandma always looked the same for as long as I remember, and my mum had me at age 21yrs so she was not always old. She had white hair, wore twin sets and pearls, midi length skirts and elasticated trousers. I can think back to school age when she was still quite a young woman wearing the same. You are never too old to look good. Do you sometimes feel you cannot be bothered? Just grab any old thing out of the wardrobe.
