With just over a month to Christmas and all the parties in the run up. Have you got your Christmas outfit sorted? I have noticed that this season there are a lot of sequins. Where I have chosen this top because it can be worn many ways, and you know how I like to get my pieces working for me. This sequin top is from Marks & Spencer and retails at £29.50. This is the dark blue, but also, comes in silver, black and evergreen. A few months ago I bought this in a lime green, what I love about it as it can be dressed up or down. Wear with jeans for a more casual look, or wear with  midi-skirt or wide leg trousers. This will also work for all seasons as it has short sleeves.

If a dress is more your thing?

If you have that special party to go to and would really like a dress, I found this one on SilkFred online. This retails at £99.00 in Rose Gold, but also comes in a Multicolour, Burgundy, and Green. This is a classic style so could be in your wardrobe for many years and come out each Christmas season. I have a similar dress to this in a bright red and it has been in my wardrobe for many years. I was recently invited to a wedding reception and the dress code was sparkles so out came my dress.

You could add your sparkles in your accessories.

This belt from  Marks & Spencer  is a faux leather crystal belt and comes in the gold or silver and retails at £19.50 This is a great way to add some sparkles if you don’t want to go for a sequins.

There are lots of clutch/evening bags that you add some sparkle. Most of them are inexpensive. Failing that you can add the sparkles in your jewellery, necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

Conclusion

There is so much choice out there on the high street but check your own wardrobe before buying anything new. You never know what you have lurking in the back of the cupboards. Also another place to look is in your local charity shops particularly at the accessories. These are often bought in for the charities to sell. We now also have the preloved online stores which are very popular too.

  1. I saw loads of sparkly options in Next today. Im not normally a Next girl but they have all kinds from whole suits, to jackets, skirts , dresses and tops. It reminded me that I already have a jacket I kept just in case it came back so I’ll be digging it out and revamping it this year!

    1. Yes I have noticed that there are a lot sparkly outfits around this year. Even the supermarkets have got a lot to choose from. The good thing is as you have found that they don’t date and can come out year after year.
