What will you be wearing to the Christmas Party?

I think it is now safe to mention the “C” word.  Yes it is only five weeks till Christmas and all the parties will take place up till Christmas itself. So, what will you be wearing to the Christmas Party?

This is always a very busy time, the run up to Christmas with so much to organise before the big day.  I always like to have a couple of new things to wear over the Christmas holiday and try to souce those now before shopping for gifts for the family.

Do you have an office party to go to where you need a party dress?  If so there are lots to choose from on the High Street and Next have this lovely red one and many more at affordable prices.  But you don’t have to wear a dress, this season there are a lot of wide leg trousers at various lengths and this pair  I have found in a lovely grey velvet. These are a good wardrobe staple as they can be worn with so many different tops and people will not realise that you are wearing what you wore last time. Velvet is very on trend this season in trousers, tops, and jackets which are lovely to wear and look very luxurious.

If you are spending time with the family and want to wear something nice but not so dressey there is still plenty to choose from.  Sparkly jumpers, lovely blouses, which can all be worn with your favourite jeans or a pair of trousers.

Sweater dresses are a very casual dress if you are just at home and also very cosy if you are all suggled around the TV in front of the fire.  Leggings are always a good favourite and there are plenty of tunic dresses around good to wear especially after a big Christmas dinner. and of course the traditional Christmas novelty jumpers which can be found in Primark at very reasonable prices.

I have invested in one of the high fashion pleated skirts like this one from top shop at £55.00  Mine is in a brown/bronze colour which is in my colour pallet.  I already had a gold thread jumper in my wardrobe, along with a cream blouse and a cream jumper so I thought this would be a good statement piece to add to my wardrobe that would bring alive a few key pieces I already had.  I can dress it down with a plain jumper and wear with my brown suede flat boots and dress up with  a dressey blose/top and a pair of heals.
