As a Colour Consultant I love using scarves to introduce some colour and style to my outfits. Wear your little black dress but add a colourful scarf to enhance your own sense of style. So here are my top tips to wear your scarf as a fashion accessory.
Scarves don’t just have to be functional and worn to keep you warm as they make a great fashion accessory. Why not try adding some scarf jewellery, these toggles just slip onto your scarf and make a great alternative to wearing your usual necklace. These scarf toggles can be put on all your scarves and therefore would compliment any outfit.
Oblong Scarves are the most popular and here is a video clip on how to make a nice flat knot that is easy to do but very effective. Check out my video clip on my Colourworx Facebook Page
Square Scarves are the most verstile as you can also make them into an oblong. I personally love these large square ones with a fringe detail, so easy to wear with no difficult tying to remember. Or add a touch of French chic and tie a scarf in the neck of your blouse.
The Snood or Infinity Scarf is a great option to wear inside your coat and will brighten up any plain jacket or coat in the winter months.
Wraps are very on trend this year and are a great option if you are travelling in your car and don’t need a full length coat. You can wrap them around in the usual way, some come with a sleeve. You can also belt them around the middle to keep them in place. Scarves really are a great way to add Colour and Style to your outfit.
Wraps
Another great Fashion Accessory and there are loads around on the high street. I have these two left one blue/pink and the other orange and green. Both £16.00 very warm and soft and make great presents.
You don’t have to just wear a scarf around your neck. Try adding one to your favourite handbag or through the belt loops of your jeans to add an individual look to your outfit.
Confidence is your best accessory never leave home without it!!
