It looks like the summer is drawing to an end and we are approaching the autumn. This is one of the beautiful things about living here, we have four definite seasons. Each season has it’s own good points and for me autumn, I love the colours around us. What is nicer than driving on a sunny day thought the countryside, looking at all the autumn colours on trees. Yes, it is a reminder that winter is on the way but then winter has its good points too. I am going to give you some tips on how you can update your wardrobe with a few key pieces to carry you into autumn.

I guess a lot of us will have a denim skirt in their wardrobe that you have been wearing throughout the summer. To take you into the cooler weather try wearing it with cotton roll neck jumper and warm tights. Team this with either some flat pumps, or if it is a cooler day add a pair of boots. This roll neck jumper is from Next at £18.00 and is 50% cotton so not too warm and comes in a variety of colours.

This blue acid wash cardigan also from Next at £36.00 is 100% cotton and would also be good for this time of year. This is a good base colour to have in your wardrobe. You will be able to layer up in the winter with a warmer jumper underneath or for warmer days wear over one of your summer dresses. Taking you from now through to the winter.

It’s always nice to have a new hand bag for the season. This will update your look, from Next a Berry Studded Shopper at £34 It also comes in black if you prefer and an ideal work bag.

Berry looks like it is one of the colours for the new season. Here are four key items you could add to your wardrobe. These will work with some of your existing pieces to update your look. If you budget does not allow you to purchase any new items this month you could always invest in a new lipstick shade, or nail polish. Alternatively, a new necklace can brighten up any outfit.
