How to take the headache out of shopping

I absolutely love shopping, the whole day out with a girlfriend, a spot of retail therapy and a nice lunch.  This I would consider, a good day out, but for other ladies this is a nightmare. I think that they don’t know where to start when shopping for clothes, they don’t know what suits them, or which colours to choose and the whole thing they just go into overwhelm. Here are my tips on how to take the headache out of shopping.

How to take the headache out of shopping

Colour Analysis –

I think that colour is the most important thing to get right, as this has a huge effect on how you look and feel. wearing the right colour will make your eyes sparkle, reduce the need for makeup and give a lively look to the face. Wearing the wrong colour will have a negative effect, you will look tired and drawn, it will exenterate your lines and imperfections and for some ladies they really go an awful colour.

After a colour analysis, you will know which colours will suit your skin tone and which one to avoid and this makes shopping so much easier.  You can then go into a store, and look across and say to yourself, those colours are not for me, but these will be good. It will cut down your shopping time and make the whole experience so much easier. Also, you will need less clothes and be able to make more outfits as all your clothes will go with each other building a capsule wardrobe.

Style Consultation –

Some ladies naturally know which style will suit their body shape but for others this is not the case. After a style consultation, you will know what shape to look for, which materials will work well for you and how to put some outfits together. After my first style consultation, many years ago I realised that I had a boyish figure with little or no curves. I was advised to choose a fitted jacket that would give me curves and avoid a long boxy shape. This made shopping so much easier, as looking along the rails, I could immediately discount anything that did not fit that remit.

Personal Shopping –

Although this is not for everyone it is a service that many of my clients enjoy as they can shop for the season in one trip. For some ladies that are not a lover of shopping it works well.
