So here are my tips on how to dress a petite frame. Funny, as whose of you who know me, I have always been tall and slim but I always wanted to be small and petite, I guess we all want to be something different to what we are. But why? We should be happy in our own skin and learn to dress our frame to make the most of what we have.
Petite Girls Style Tips
I think that the most inportant thing is to get the proportions right and the easiest way to do that is to buy from one of the petite ranges available in the high street and here are a few that offer a good choice.

Trousers
Many shops do sell trousers by the length and do a short options so you may not need to go to a shop with a petite range so it is worth checking out some of the general fashion stores. Yes you can turn up the length but do be careful not to take up too much as this will often change the desired shape of the trouser. If you do use wounderweb as you just iron that on. Another idea is to roll up the trouser leg, in fact, I have just bought a pair of jeans with just that look. Just always remember that not to finnish a hem on the largest part of your leg.
Skirts
If you have short legs it is a good idea to wear the same colour shoes and tights and your skirt hemline should show enough leg to balance the body.

- Wear block colouring with a contrasting top
- Light to medium weight fabrics
- Shoe colour should match your skirt or trousers
- Choose fabrics with a small pattern
- Choose small accessories ( Jewellery & scarves etc)

- Large designs
- Oversized hand bags
- Heavy fabrics
- Wide leg trousers
