We all know that is it so important to make that right first impression but how do we do that? People will have made an opinion of you within 30 seconds of meeting you, and that is before you have opened your mouth to speak. How scary is that? So, this is my personal advice for making the right first impression.

My personal advice for making the right first impression

People will remember you for what you are wearing. I bet you can all recall an event that you went to and afterwards talking about the event with others who attended. One of you will say something like, ” you remember the lady in the red dress” and instantly you all know who she is talking about. Therefore, it is important to make that great first impression particularly if you are representing you and your business.

I think it goes without saying that you need to be dressed to the best of your ability. Ideally you will know which are your best colours and the style that suits your body shape.  If you don’t please do not hesitate to contact me on my details below. I can help you with either with a Colour or Style consultation. It’s more than just knowing what suits you, but how you present yourself. If you know that what you are wearing is right for you, this gives you much needed confidence. You need to feel comfortable in what you are wearing too. Make sure that your hair is looking good, after all, this is the outfit that you wear every day.  Makeup, make sure you don’t overdo it and look like a painted doll. Less is more. Your finger nails should be manicured and no chipped nail varnish and if you are wearing open sandals your toes should be too. Carry a good quality hand bag, have clean shoes/boots nothing is worse if they need a polish. Be the best version of you!

Wear a smile

This is most important, wear a smile even if you are feeling nervous inside. A nice smiley face will attract people to come and talk to you. If you look like you are enjoying yourself people will be attracted to approach you. You know what they say, ” Keep smiling and people will wonder what you have been up to” Smiling is infectious!!
