We all know about layering up your clothes in the winter to keep warm and its much the same for now. I have a denim sleeveless dress shown here in the spring and worn with a light cotton cardigan with sandals. As the weather cools, I will wear with a long -sleeved t/shirt underneath. In the winter I will put a chunky jumper over the top, so it looks like a skirt and wear thick tights and boots. I could also add my leather biker jacket over the top. The beauty of this dress being denim is it is not a thin fabric, and it is an easy colour to wear with almost any colour. So, the question is how many long/sleeved t/shirt/blouses and jumpers do you have that would work with this dress?

What we are trying to do here is get more wear out of each item of clothing by styling in different ways. This means of course that you will need less clothes but be able to make more outfits.

Skirts are great for using in all seasons

I wanted a long denim skirt with a skirt with a split up the front and bought one from White Stuff in the sale. Currently I have styled it with short sleeved tops and t/shirts but I am looking forward to styling it in the autumn. In the cooler weather I can see myself wearing it with a chunky jumper and boots. I could dress it up with a satin blouse to go out, or dress it down with a polo neck and a shacket. This makes this skirt a good investment in my wardrobe that works for me in several seasons.

Jeans for all seasons.

Jeans are for all seasons, but I do have lighter weight ones for the summer. They are a great basic in your wardrobe and worth investing in a good pair. You can dress up or down a pair of jeans, t/shirt and jumpers for the day and a nice blouse or sparky top for the evening. Also, you can have different colours too so that makes them even for versatile.

Cardigans, Jackets & lightweight coats.

These are an obvious way to add style to an outfit. Everyone should have a denim jacket in their wardrobe as these are excellent for adding warmth. If you are looking for a smart look a blazer is a good option even with a pair of nice jeans. For a more casual look use a gilet, thick shacket or fleece.

Accessories.

As the winter approaches we will be back in our boots, scarves and hats, You can make a style statement with these whilst also keeping warm. Why not try some colourful knitted tights to colour up an outfit, think outside the box and have fun with it. Do you love a hat? we wear hats to keep the sun off why wear one to keep the heat in. Add some colour to your outfits.

Lastly, add some colour to your outfit. This will enhance your mood as well as making you look and feel-good giving you confidence to be who you want to be.
