This is so easy to do, even if you are a lady who loves to wear black or grey. All you have to do is add a pop of colour, sounds easy, and it is.  Take that black dress you love, add a necklace in your favourite colour and immediately the colour will shine on your face.  Here are some ideas here on how to give that Black dress some colour.  Alternatively, you could add a colourful scarf.  I have numerous ways to tie a scarf to make a great accessory check out my  talks and workshops on my website.

With Summer, just around the corner this is a time when many of us are happy to wear colour. I went to a Networking event this morning and as the sun is shining and it was warm out came all the lovely dresses in some super colour.  So why wait to wear colour. It does not have to be sunny, in fact if it is a dull day it even more reason to choose colour as it will make you feel so much better.

Which colours should I wear?

We all like to wear different levels of colour and I say it’s like a dimmer switch turn it up or down and it is knowing when to stop.  Take a look at my colour wands, on the left are the cool colours and on the right we have warm colours.  You can see the level of colour changes in both sides so you have the choice as to what level of colour you want to wear. If you go to my Pinterest board on colour pallets you can see how to put different colours together as well.

Colour for you maybe some of the pastel colours, when you think of colour you don’t have to be dressed in neon!! just a colour to suit you.

Cardigans are a good way to add some colour to a plain dress.  This black spotty dress could look quiet dull without anything with it.  If you add this lovely yellow cardigan, see how it transforms this look.  I have choosen some quirky shoes and a small bag but shoes and handbag do not have to match.

You could choose any colour to do this with, bright pink, red, blue, the important thing is to pick the right colour for you that will work with your skin tone to bring out the best in you.
